Help needed in starting environmental project

Hello
I would like to start a project on environmental conservation mainly reforestation to start with, and iam now planning to mobilize my friends (at my university where i am currently undertaking an undergraduate course) to formulate a proper framework on how to start it. In that context i would like anyone to give me an overview and some ideas on  how and where we should approach it from.

As a start you should try to discuss in a little bit of detail your background, why you want start the project and how much research you have done so far. This will avoid duplication and the forum members will respond to specific request for help.  Issues you may want to discuss in detail include:

1. type of environmental project and why,
2. location of the project,
3. possible sources of funding,
4. your role in the project and whether you are looking for partners and volunteers.
