Vision and Calling

My vision is to be an inspiration and touch lives through music in a way that will create change and promote godliness.

I committed my life to Jesus Christ at the age of 16 and he has remained the Lord and Saviour of my life.  God has been faithful to sustain me on my Christian walk with him and my part also is to remain faithful to him.  The day I gave my life to Christ I sang to the audience “Burdens are Lifted at Calvary” and that is the time I discovered while singing this song that I am gifted in singing.  This song still blesses my heart till this day and I have attended so many meetings that people have asked me to sing the song.  (God bless the composer – John Moore).

Involvement

During my high school years I was very much involved with all music activities in the Christian Union and other school events and this advanced my performance skills in music.  I learnt a lot on music dynamics while singing in the church choir.  I was a member of my church youth group KAYO (Kenya Anglican Youth Organization) and has been a praise and worship leader for a long time.

I always encourage participatory praise and worship during the church services and this makes everyone involved – what a joy!  I enjoy leading various choruses that involve action and the congregation enjoy too. These activities have promoted my music gift and talents and opening other doors for my music ministry.  I have had many invitations to sing across Kenya, in churches, schools, crusades, open-air meetings, weddings, on radio and TV.  I have also, participated in other events that promote the well being of humanity.

This far I can say that God is the one who has helped me and I look forward to praising him all the days of my life.  In the past, I was in a singing group of four that was called “The Sanctified Voices”.  We travelled to so many places to sing and had fun singing together – memories I will always cherish and remember.

Singing

My song writing comes naturally from texts that I may have read from the Bible, my testimony or day-to-day life encounters.  I remember very well that I started writing songs when I was in grade 5.  I feel challenged that I don’t have to sit on my gift but use it for God’s glory.  I taught myself how to play the guitar and I am glad that I can play by ear and I love the instrument with all my heart.  It always amazes me the way God has given each one of us very “special” and “unique” gifts and my heart’s desire is to exploit this gift.  I am pleased that finally I have released “Yesu Aniona” CD. The songs on this CD are Christian songs that speak about God’s love, goodness, salvation, kindness, and his majestic power.  There are many life challenges that we face each day but the songs are encouraging us to remain strong and firmly rooted in God.

My prayer is to continue producing Christian and inspirational songs that edifies everyone who listens to them.
